Fred Goldberg

is a founding Co-director of the Loft Foundation and has been an elementary teacher for thirty years. His teaching practice is based on modeling behaviors that create healthy relationships. His experience has taught that in order for true learning to take place, all members of the learning community must work to­ward creating healthy, honest, and trusting relationships.
Paul Richmond

is a founding Co-Director of the Loft Foundation. He served as an administrator and faculty member of Tolstoy College for seven years in the 1970's, at the University of Buffalo, NY. He created, managed and performed a theme-based arts business that tied the arts into the curriculum for K-12 students for 18 years. Paul has and does served on a number of Board of Directors. His business skills also included starting and successfully setting up a USA Operations of the German owned company "Theraline", in which he managed for 3 years

Fred Goldberg and Paul Richmond are involved in a number of projects which advocates the creatiing safe, trusting, Socratic learning environments. These environments are non-judgmental settings creating spaces for children to take the risks necessary to learn about the power of their own voices.
