A variety of cohort-based programs that can reduce the isolation of being a leader. This includes Central Office roles as well as building Principals and School Board members. Professional, Confidential and Highly Researched In-Service opportunities along with On-Site Professional Development activities including coursework designed to meet your specific needs and the needs of your teaching and paraprofessional staff. A wide array of professional services specifically for Superintendents and Principals these include mentoring, school law, and assistance with mandated improvement, Special Education reforms, and other issues you identify. |

We also can provide an open, honest and inclusive hiring practice that will greatly increase the chance that your school community will hire the leader YOU desire. We know schools well and have over 75 years experience in the school leadership domain. Need to Hire New Teachers? As you know, teachers will be retiring in record numbers, replaced by young, idealistic teachers who want to make a difference. Studies show that over 50 % of these new teachers will leave the profession after less than five years. This situation can and must be prevented. Successful mentoring/coaching programs are needed to give new teachers the support necessary to develop their skills and become effective professionals. Additionally, we also can provide mentoring and coaching for them, in concert with some of the top experts in the field, thus increasing your retention of excellent staff. Mentoring/Coaching Programs for Principals and Teachers We can offer regular consultation as a critical friend to assist administrators and /or to be an understanding sounding board. Currently there is a limited pool of quality candidates for leadership role. LOFT can provide you with the means to support your current leadership personnel to stay on a professional path of improvement. Another essential service is the mentoring of new leaders in your system. It is more cost efficient to assist with professional growth whenever possible rather than pursue non-renewal. We also know that having the time to commit to coaching and mentoring struggling colleagues is difficult, if not impossible. Not only does it help the morale of staff to know there is assistance available, it also assures that you have done everything legally and ethically required to help struggling staff improve. School Board Training / Special Education Audits / State Mandated School Reports and Action Plans In addition to mentoring, professional development and supportive cohorts, we can also provide school board training and conduct special education program reviews and redesign plans.
